The first-ever Climate Week at the GSB seeks to highlight
the urgency and opportunity of climate change and engage our school in thinking
about solutions. Through a mix of speakers and events, we hope to teach our
fellow classmates about an issue we care about and enable you to take immediate action to reduce your climate impact (just click the button below). By taking action, you are entered into a drawing to win fantastic prizes, including a Tesla test drive and free lunches from Kincao. Come join us

The week will include several events hosted by clubs and organizations from the GSB and across campus, including:

- A screening of the premiere of "The Years of Living Dangerously," a documentary series on climate change produced by James Cameron, Jerry Weintraub and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
- A panel discussion on the cleantech revolution with Stefan Heck (former director of McKinsey's Global Cleantech Practice) and Cathy Zoi (former Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy).
- A student-moderated discussion with Gro Brundtland, the former Prime Minister of Norway at the Stanford Energy Seminar.
- A talk by George P. Shultz, former Secretary of State and currently a fellow at the Hoover Institute.
- A panel event hosted by the Steyer-Taylor Center for Energy Policy and Finance on "Risky Business" -- an initiative looking at the economic risks associated with climate change.
- A tour of Stanford's energy cogeneration plant, which provides for the bulk of the Stanford campus' electricity needs.
- A networking event with energy companies in Silicon Valley.
- The annual Connecting the Dots conference on the climate, energy, water, food, and environment nexus (registration required).
- Other fun events, including a climate-themed FOAM, a lunchtime climate competition in Town Square, prize giveaways, and a Liquidity Preference Function (LPF) co-hosted by the Climate Week team, Sustainable Business Club and GSB Food & Ag club.
